Why does the Supreme God given vedas praise the devas ?

It is said that the vedas are given by the God. But the vedas contain hymns which praise the various devas agni, indra, varuNa and others. Why should the Supreme God say hailing hymns of the other devas ?

Let us take a home. Here parent is the supreme authority. This family has children, some elderly some very young. To the younger ones the mother would say that they should respect the elder ones as they are matured, know more things, have more strength and could help the younger ones when there is a need. These statements of talking the superiority of the elder children would not mean that the mother is less superior to the children nor that she is also saluting these children. It is only for the information of the younger ones, she tells these things, in order for them to respect what the elders contribute for the family and take help from them as the need arises.

If we look at who these devas are, it is not hard to find that they are the (masters of the) elements which are essential for the life to go on. For example agni is heat, vayu is air, varuNa is water etc. These are nothing but the authorities provided by the Supreme for the smooth running of this Universe system, It has devised. These glorious God given powers are told and hailed in the vedas. It is like the document where authorities and roles of various ministries are defined by the ruler. This would not mean that the ruler, who created this document of the system which hails the roles of the chiefs of departments, is saluting these chiefs himself. Similarly these vedas are gifted for the mankind and does not mean the God is hailing the elements of nature.
